2 Die 4 Live Foods was officially established in 2004 by Clive Lawler. Through his love for ‘slow foods’, Clive began to delve deeper in to the world of ‘eating to heal’. The deeper Clive delved, the further he found himself drawn to the ancient technique of fermentation. Beginning with fermented walnuts, the range quickly grew to include almonds, and pecans. It now includes over 20 products, all carefully fermented in 2 Die 4 Live Food’s commercial premises located in Byron Bay, NSW.
The first activated nut ever created at 2 Die 4 Live Foods – perhaps this one could be called their signature dish? Soaked using a small amount of whey, this transforms the nut to being a lot less bitter than the original.
